Meet the Founder
Meet the Founder.
Hi, I'm Asia Foster — filmmaker, storyteller, wife, and mom. I've spent over a decade in the film industry chasing stories that move people, spark conversation, and, if I do my job right, make someone laugh or cry (sometimes both at the same time). Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, I got my start at the School for Creative and Performing Arts and found my voice early through spoken word — performing poems that felt more like prayers, pulsing with urgency and truth. I wasn't trained into storytelling; the gift was already in me. After an introduction to Photojournalism and Documentary, I went on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Film at Full Sail University.
My journey in this industry hasn't always been easy — there have been sleepless nights, tough lessons, and plenty of moments where I wondered if I'd make it. But through it all, I've learned that resilience, faith, and a little stubborn persistence go a long way. Those experiences shaped not just the filmmaker I've become, but the storyteller I am: one who believes in the power of film to connect people, spark conversation, and reveal the humanity in all of us.
As the founder and CEO of AMF Productions, I'm committed to creating space for underrepresented voices, supporting emerging creatives, and championing diversity in every story we tell. I also have a soft spot for mentoring youth and helping the next generation of storytellers discover their own creative spark — because I know firsthand how life-changing it can be to see your story valued and celebrated. Every project I take on — with purpose, faith, and a little stubbornness — whether it's a film, branded story, or creative campaign, has one goal: to leave people feeling something, inspired and impacted, long after the credits roll.
